I am a college recruiter for a creative school -- things like Interior Design, Fashion Design, Video Production, Culinary Arts, etc. I go into High Schools and adult learning centers and make presentations about what creative careers are available and let folks know that the school I represent is one of many great educational opportunities. There is no one school to go to . . . If that were true there would be only one college and we would either get in or turned away. I get to show people another option that they might not have previously considered.
I tell the people I talk to that JOB stands for Just Over Broke. Jobs are about paychecks. Careers are about passion. Love what you do and never work a day in your life . . . I am blessed that I love what I do.
