Quantum physics is still a relatively new field of endeavors with much more to learn before a state of mastery can be achieved. By understanding how matter is constructed with the limits and options this implies, our ability to manipulate the environment for our benefit increases. Areas of applied knowledge that are still in development as well, include:

- Quantum computing: Super computers the size of a virus that can heal our bodies and interact with our memories.
- Astrophysics: How was the universe made? Is faster than light speed travel possible? If so then how is it done?
- Materials science: stronger, harder and lighter materials that can be used for things like spacecraft shields and nuclear fusion power reactors.
- Energy sources: anti matter is a very powerful energy source, but currently takes more energy than is outputted to make and can only be done on very small scales.
- Unexpected discoveries: the nature of time and space and how to manipulate it or something else about the true nature of reality that alters our perception of this world and our place in it.

Basically quantum physics is about getting a deeper understanding or reality. Exactly how this will propagate through inventions depends on the truths that are uncovered. There are still many theories to be proven and unknowns to be discovered as the more they look, the more they find. A comprehensive and complete understanding of the quantum world is yet to be achieved.
