I know many years ago it was teens, then late teens, and so on and so on. I am just curios because I am 25 and my mother actually thinks that is too young. She was 22.

Ideally 25-32 are the prime years for reproduction both physically and emotionally- by 25 most women are secure in identity and future and after 32 many women become too career focused to handle the stress of pregnancy. Certainly it may occur earlier or later but 25-32 have the highest statistical success and fewest birth defects. Good Luck!

the average age is now about 30 but 25 is not young, you are ready when your ready, age is just a number. I had my daughter at 22 and im now having my second at 27. I think 25 is a lovely age to have your first

Now a days, women get pregnant later in life because they are more career minded and they are very focused and independent. One day they wake up and figure out that they are missing something like having a kid... so, most of them end up having kids in their 40's.. and are single moms because most men are already married and already have kids with their first or second wives. . .and these are the only men that are in their age group of course.

I got married and had a kid when I was 28, I thought I was gonna be an old maid. Now we are expecting baby number 2. I don't think you should rush into anything. Just know that if it happens, then it's meant to be.. Good Luck!

Well I´m 22 and 29 weeks pregnant, but I am married and we´re financially stable enough to have a baby. But with all the teen pregnancies these days who knows...

I'm 25 and pregnant with my first now. I feel very comfortable with this age, because I'm young enough where my body can "bounce back" after the pregnancy, but I'm old enough to have finished college, gotten hitched, and become somewhat financially established.

I know the "optimal" financial situation would have been when I'm much older and the optimal "bounce back" situation would have been when I was younger - but you got to try to find your best balance between the two.

The average age is actually about 25 now (just google "average age of pregnancy in us" and you'll get a ton of links). It all depends on if you're ready or not...there's nothing too young or too old if you're ready for it.

I'm 35 and pregnant with my first, so I'm helping push that average age up. :-)

Well these days you start at like 15 or 16 sometimes even younger. but i would say whenever you think that you are ready. i wouldnt go by the avg. age of things... 25 is probably actually a good age if you think you are ready. just remember its a lot of work. good luck

That's stupid. After you turn 18, you're old enough to have babies! Statistics show that the average woman has her first at 25. That's surprising considering all the teen pregnancies.
