Okay, this question only goes out to the people who actually like piercings. If you think they're gross, gonna hurt so bad, etc. dont bother to scare me or whatever.
So, im 14. And this summer im gonna get my lip pierced on the left side. But I have questions.
I was planning on snakebites, but the only thing my parents allow is one whole thats all. So, im from sandiego.
Any good places, that you go to or recommed?
If your younger like me, i would love to hear your answer.
So anyways, I wanted something. Just, give me any thing I should know about them ok?
If you have one, how bad did it hurt, scale of 1-10.
I heard they dont numb it, is there any way you can?
Swelling, infections? Sizes? Anything else....
Styles? Anything! Let me know.
And where can I get one, for how much cost?
Im paying for it myself.

it doesn`t hurt a bit, because it`s over very quickly...on a scale of 1-10, i`d say the pain level is a 1...when they clamp your lip with the forceps it kind of numbs it, so u don`t really feel anything...if u follow all the after-care procedures, u should be fine!!! i didn`t have swelling or anything, i was eating right away & doing all the same things i normally did before...i have a ring in the center of my lip...i luv it!!! enjoy!!!

I'm 14 and I've had my lip pierced 3 times. I would say that on a scale of 1 - 10 the pain is about a 3 or 4. The clamp actaully hurts more than the actual piercing.
When you get it done I would recomend you get a stud rather than a ring I had a ring in my lip the first two times and it took longer to heal than the third time I got my lip pierced when I put a stud in it. Your lip will swell for about a week. You deffenitly want to put a piece of jewelry in it that is too big if not it might cut into your lip and trust me that hurts.

Okay when you go inthey sterilize the area that you want done and dry out your mouth by wiping off the saliva with a tissue then they put a black dot on the outside and the inside to be accurate on where to put it....(the smell of the alchohol is worse then the pierce.....then they take forcep looking things and grab your lip with it and then 1-2-3 all done! just whatever you do DON"T PLAY WITH IT.....and keep it clean

omg youre so lucky! i asked if i could get my lip pierced and my parents said no. i know they use clamp things which hurt and kinda numb it like the lady above me said. just get one now then later in a few years ask if you can get the other side done. as for finding a place you can look in yahoo yellow book thing and they have ratings for the places and reviews.
