Ceres with a diameter of about 1000 smaller than pluto and earth's moon. It was considered as a planet before like pluto but was removed from the planet list in 1850's

Ceres was the first asteroid discovered & is the largest asteroid of all, taking up about 1/3 of the entire mass of the asteroid belt.

Ceres is about 560 miles wide and is the only asteroid large enough for gravity to have shaped it into a ball. It's much smaller than Pluto, which is about 1500 miles wide.

ceres is the biggest one but in the new catalogs it called dwarf planet (like pluto) but the biggest asteriod which ever seen are: ceres vesta psyche
