My wedding video has my Dad giving a testimonial...I still can hear his voice and see how he acted when he was still with us even if he isn't here now.

My mother-in-law still has her husband's voice on her home phone and her cell phone voice mail. Everytime I call her and she doesn't answer, I hear her voice.

Oh, my gosh, White. I had'nt even thought about it until now. Dad is on OUR wedding video. I'm going to go find it now. Thank you.

I've never heard that term before. But it is quite a good one. However I don't think "stealing" is the right word. "Borrowing" perhaps. Every now and then I take out the pictures of my first love. Now deceased. Touch them, think about her. My wife doesn't know I have these. There is no reason for her to. My love for my wife is not diminished or affected by what happened a long time ago.

But it is nice to occasionally "borrow" from deaths suitcase. Maybe, just maybe, she knows I am looking at her. Touching her face. Thinking about her. I don't know. But I hope she does.

I have Maman's glass rolling pin (you fill it with water and chill it, makes the best piecrust!) and Daddy's corn scoop. He loved farming, and she wouldn't let him...but that scoop is a reminder of what he loved. I also have his graduation picture.
