I'm not sure about "inner" or "outer" mind, but the mind can be watched. It takes a strong need for freedom from the suffering the mind causes. There are only a few people on this planet of 6 + billion who have cared enough to look deeply into this question.

As you have probably noticed, the mind chatters on endlessly. Often a thought will arise...seemingly out of nowhere, and other thoughts are quickly added. Before you know it, you are totally involved in a drama from the past or a worry about the future or somebody you hate, etc. Your emotions are often affected, you feel bad or good about an imagined future, etc. It is like being on an emotional roller coaster!

Those few who have realized that they can watch the mind and mostly ignore it...let it ramble on, but not 'hooking' into the contents...watching thoughts go by like birds in the sky. These people have more freedom. They still live full lives, doing everything they have alway done. working, watching TV, going out with friends, etc. It's just that their inner world has become more peaceful, more serene.

There is more to the human being than we know. We have a choice as to what we put 'energy' into. If you starve thoughts of energy...of more thoughts....do not follow them...more ease, more joy will surface.

This is difficult because we have a huge habit of getting involved in our thoughts. It gets easier after awhile. It's a lot like turning the TV off in a room. It can seem pretty quiet, at first.

I'm not sure if my inner mind is the most difficult for me to control, or to have other peoples inner mind agree with mine, which seems to be in all of our natures, to have some control over others thinking. At least with my own I have a chance. I would mostly agree with this statement.

What is the difference between inner mind and outer mind? Isn't it just called your mind? Seriously, it is time you started to look at google, instead of bugging all of use with repeat questions.

Nope, it just so happens that the most difficult thing in the world is to be totally aware of yourself. That by the way includes your innner mind.

Don't think so - you can control your inner mind (thoughts) with a little effort in different ways - listening to other people's opinions, refocusing, counseling, reading.
