Sleeping too much may be a symptom of anemia. Ask your Dr. for tests. There is also a rare anemia, which I have, that caused me to sleep 22 hours a day. I was so miserable, but finally got on the Internet and went to Webmd and found there is a B12 anemia that requires special lab work. I had to take the information to my Doctor before she would order the test. She even suggested I see a psychiatrist for severe depression. I knew that wasn't the problem and ignored it. Sure this is and was a depressing life to live. I have gotten help and take a B12 shot monthly as well as taking Folic Acid and good multi vitamin with tons of B12. Don't let this continue, as it will only get worse. Good luck.

make the 10:00 rule on the weekends
make it a personal rule to be up by 10 in the morning
make youself a healthy breakfast
go for a 15 minute out and 15 minute in jog
oh! and keep iron in you diet
to do this you can eat leafy greens (no iceburg lettuce)
if you don't like greens buy a cast iron pan and cook in it

Try changing your diet. I was a walking zombie all the time. I even was so bad as to take the children to school, come home and go back to bed. Then I'd be falling asleep on the sofa at about 6pm. Went on a diet consisting of all fresh fruit and veg and now I 'm full of energy all the time. My husband still can't believe it because after 15 years together he's never known me to even speak to him before noon! It's worth a try.

Try setting your alarm clock, I go to sleep at 9 and wake up at 6 or 7.
Are you going through a rough time? Because I've heard that if your put under pressure or anxious you feel like you need to sleep more. And yeah, You should try it wont work straight away but give it some time.

Im the same way. I could sleep all day if it were up to me. But I have a baby, so I kind of have no choice. Like the dr. said. You can train your body to work on less sleep. Just don't expect it to feel better after one or two night. If the dr. already ruled out enimia and thyroid problems, then maybe you just like your sleep like a lot of people do

Maybe you have a little depression, try excercising, it may help. Also, ask your doctor to run some tests to see if your thyroid is functioning normally. You could also try going to a sleep specialist, maybe your sleep it fitful or incomplete so that you're not getting the good, deep sleep that your mind and body need!

Same to me but I don't thinks it is big trouble if you are in good health confidence. Some people need much sleep and about my case i know that i have low blood pressure and it is not too bad if sleep more. But you can get doctors' advice of course.

Do you have sleep apnia? Maybe the sleep you are getting isn't adequate because you aren't getting enough oxygen to your brain.
You might try a sleep disorder clinic. They can evalaute you for one night and determine if there is anything strange going on with your body or sleep patterns.

I would recommend seeing a doctor. It sounds like you have a serious problem if you are sleeping that much and still tired before the end of the day.
