Paul I: Can you really not have seen all the questions referring to "nappy-headed ho's"?? Where've you been? Some radio guy, Don Imus, called the Ruttgers womens basketball team that and it's been causing quite a stir.

Yes, nappies are the same as diapers. EDIT...MOM of 2..The feminine products you refer to have never ever been called "napkins" in England. Don't know where you got that story from

Clever! Yes, nappies are diapers in England, and if you say "napkins" there people will give you a funny look because "napkins" are either feminine supplies (depending on who you talk to) or diapers, while "serviettes" are table napkins.

Hope that wasn't too confusing.

well we are not england, but yes, they do call diapers nappies in england!

how the same words get such different connotations in countries where we speak the same language..i do not know!
