My nails have good and bad days and I could never find anything to make them strong and grow at the same time. Then I found Sally Hansen Hard As Nails. The red and white label only!! (The other hard as nails range are all terrible). But I love it. Its all I use for a base coat and it works everytime.

I have long nails and have had them since I was in my early teens. After experimenting with false nails, and they decided to pop off when I was out with my friends, I decided to grow my own. I must confess that, that was the most embarrassing moment in my life. But to answer your question, what works for me is using a clear top coat over polished nails to keep them from chipping or breaking. If you have soft nails, try using Sally Hansen nail hardener products. I found that this product helps to protect nails that are soft.

my nails were doing that for awhile. Somebody at Pure Beauty recommend I try the Essie Protein base coat. I put it on my nails and use it like clear polish every week when worn alone. Or put it under my nail polish as a base coat. Seems to have helped. my nails don't seem to split nearly as much anymore.

I know people say never to cut them, but I trim mine every now and then, and that has helped them to stay healthy, which results in them grower longer. I know it sounds weird to trim your nails to have them grow longer, but it works cause it keeps them healthy. Also, at some stores there is a fingernail polish that helps nails get stronger, if you wanted to try that. Hope I helped! :)

I suggest that you use Sally Hanson hard as nails or Revlon nail hardener. Also try knox geletin or just add jello to your diet on a regular basis.
