I actually have an over sized comic book from (about) 20 years ago - Superman vs Spiderman.

I'd have to hunt for it, but I seem to remember Lex Luthor weakened Superman with kryptonite. Just enough for Supes' to not realize it. I'm not sure, but I think the idea was to get Superman to fight as hard as he could, then when his strength came back to 100% he would hit Spiderman as hard as he could, not realizing his strength had returned. Thus, killing the 'ole wall crawler. ( 'course didn't happen.)

Spidey punched him and was surprised that he could actually do any damage to the Man of Steel.

If it weren't because of Lex, Superman would have crushed him like a bug.

Superman Or Spiderman

Superman is stronger, due to the sun. But take the sun away and Spiderman is stronger. But if you take the sun away then you have no powers at all, so the fight would be pointless. That's like saying if you took the spider-bite away Spiderman would be weaker than Batman.

You know what though. I always thought that Spiderman, when he started out, would of made a good side-kick. Imagine Batman, with spiderman in his costume or his black & white costume, only Spiderman being drawn smaller and younger looking like in Ultimate Spiderman. That'd make a good team. Especialy when Spiderman went off to be a hero of his own ... sorry I'm rambling again.

Superman by a long shot. No question. You don't see Spiderman stopping missles like they are twigs or moving the moon back into orbit. Superman might be a dork, but that does not make Spiderman stronger.

It depends on the scenario. On normal circumstances, Superman is without a doubt stronger then spidey but if there is Kryptonite nearby or if there is a red sun then spidey will definitely whoop superman's @$$.
