I am a mother of 4 kids, I need to look for an apartment with a 3br apartment. My price range is between $700.-850. I need to know where to look and I don't want any agency contacting me with a credit check proof. Thank you

The Reader is much better than Apartment Links. Another way is to pick up the neighborhood newspapers. The best part of town for your budget and your kids would be up around the end of the Brown line. It's a nice little area variously called Budlong Woods, Lincoln Square, Little Korea and North Park. Right around North Park University are great apartments for rent...3Br/1-2 Bath for around $750/mo. The big plus is that you're at the beginning of the Brown line...so you get seats!

Try the Chicago Reader's apartment finding service (http://classifieds.chicagoreader.com/chicago/Results?subsection=oid%3A122). You can search by area of the city, number of bedrooms, price range, etc. The places listed are mostly put there directly by the landlords. There are a few agency listings too. anyway, I'd check there.

Here is a link to a newspaper that caters to the suburbs that are on the outskirts of the city. I hope this helps.
