Is it safe to say they are guilty because they didn't answer you?

Yes, my mother invented that form of creative lying and she does not consider it dishonest in any way, But I say it is "a lie of omission" and I do think it is deceitful. She answers with things such as "Why would I want to do that?" which means she did. It's still a lie in my book.

Hesitation can sometimes denote guilt however, it could also mean the person is cautious and thinks before speaking. That is often taken into account however , there are other factors to consider such as body language. There are some very specific physical responses that a person unconsciously does that are indicative of lying. Add that up with witness accounts and affidavits and it is easy to find the lie.

I would say yes. Especially if they don't look you in the eye, and they change the subject. Then you know they are guilty.

Could be that they're guilty, or they are too polite to say "none of your business". Could be they are trying to protect the guilty party.

well maybe not because i always take a long time to answer questions with my boyfriend because i have a hard time to talk to people even if its about something but yes it could be

if u dont back ur self up sometimes ur people r gonna decide ur answer so u have to stand up say whats really goin on

Maybe they are invoking their 5th amendment rights. It is up to you to PROVE they are guilty.

yes at times
i you look deeply into their eyes then you can find the truth
also they can be silent coz they may be too shocked that you are accussing of somthing so low

pretty much....they r avoiding lieing by not saying a word...of course ya never know, some ppl tlk their heads off when theyr lieing....Go with ur gut, it says their lieing mostlikely they r....God Bless

they're either guilty or innocent and so offended by your assumption that they can't even look at you for fear of exploding!
