I am voting to say I am sick to death of this Imus crap.

I agree with you, I think it's absurd that people are blowing this so far out of proportion. Yes I believe that what he said was wrong but so are things that millions of normal everyday people say. It's because he is in the spolight that this is becoming the 3 ring circus that it is. And I get so irritated when I see "Reverend" Al Sharpton on television critizing yet another person for a mistake, I personally always thought it was part of a persons religious beliefs to forgive, and turn the other cheek, shouldn't a reverend be leading by example, i.e, forgiving, instead of helping to fuel this rediculous debacle. I am just hoping that now that the team has said they accept his apology that this is over and these teammates and Imus are able to get back to whatever normal lives they have left.

I am tired of hearing all this Don Imus stuff. The media has nothing else to talk about. This is the sports version of how the media handled Anna Nicole Smith.

it's done..it's over with....and quite frankly i think it's ridiculous that he lost his job over it!

sure, it was stupid, he wasn't thinking (all of these things that he admitted to) but there are a lot of other things we need to be worrying about other than f**king imus in the a.m. and what he says!!

and i'm sorry, but like we all know, and like it's all been reitterated this past week - mel gibson said worse (he is still being casted), "Kramer" was ABSOFRIGGINLUTELY out of line and everyone still loves him. i just don't understand...

and i know some people are going to read this and say - well you don't get it because you are white...well, how about this:
i am also a lesbian (basketball and soccer player) and if imus in the a.m. said "hey, look at all those Rutgers dykes" i would have taken it with a grain of salt and felt badly for his ignorance.

i'm so sick of people jumping all over everyone's backs about stupid one second comments that they didn't think about. yes, i am sure it was hurtful, but get over it....

it's ridiculous, what he said wasn't even bad, rap songs say much worse than nappy headed hos and sells millions of copies, he's merely being cruicified for being an old white man. and before you get y'alls knickers in a knot, i am NOT a fan, but right is right if you don't like him don't listen, the same thing i do to all the racist morons and homophobes out there, including imus, howard stern, jesse jackson, al sharpton, and rush limbaugh!

I am very sick of this. Yes he said something very racist and sexist, but it has become too overwhelmed. Since everyone was questioning CBS and MSNBC choice to fire him, they did. So what about all the other people who didn't get kick off of shows for calling someone something racial or sexist.

Dude, this is way more important that Anna Nicole and her baby. Look how long that lasted.
This has only been a week.
That said, I'm done with it... it's only a big story until the next big story comes along

I am. I mean, he shouldn't have said it, but with all the media, it is just getting him more time in the spotlight and he doesn't deserve to be rewarded for his racist and insensitive comments.
