Unfortunately, you will never be able to feel your baby's heartbeat throughout the pregnancy. However, during your first ultrasound (usually at 5 or 6 weeks), your doctor will be able to show you the baby's heart beating. It looks like a little light flickering, very cute! Depending on what kind of ultrasound machine being used, they can usually let you hear it that way also. Otherwise, doctors can use a Doppler machine to find and let you hear the heartbeat.
My wife and I rented a Doppler machine, which is basically an amplified soundwave monitor, at 11 weeks. We could begin hearing the heartbeat at home then, although it was very hard to find. It was very exciting :)
It gets easier to find as the weeks pass. It also becomes easier to feel your baby's movement at around 14 weeks and beyond.
Hope that helps!

That is your heartbeat. You won't be able to FEEL the baby's heart until the end of the pregnancy, and that is ONLY if the baby is right up front. My daughter spent the last two months with her back facing outwards, and for the last two or three weeks, we could differentiate her pulse from mine. It was pretty cool. To make sure it is the baby's pulse you are feeling, you'd have to locate your own and go from there.

Even at six months pregnant, you won't feel the baby's heartbeat! Maybe you meant to ask if you can feel the baby moving? If that's what you meant, then my answer is that it's different for everyone. Some women can feel their baby move as early as the first trimester and some can't until much later. I didn't feel my son moving until I was about 6 months along.

That is the pulse in your hand.... not the babies heart beat. You will never feel it, but around 10 weeks, your Dr, should be able to hear it.

Okay. I REALLY don't want to sound rude, but you can NEVER 'feel' your baby's heartbeat through your belly. The heartbeat that you are feeling is your own. In or around your third trimester, you might be able to HEAR the heartbeat with a stethoscope through your belly, but you can't ever FEEL it. Good Luck With Your Pregnancy! :-)

You can never "feel" the baby's heartbeat.
Some dopplers can pick up and you can "hear" the baby's heartbeat at 6-10 weeks.
And an ultrasound shows them even sooner.
But you can never "feel" the baby's heartbeat. Not even at 9 months pregnant.
good luck! God bless!

You can't. Any pulse you feel in your abdomen is your own. You have a major artery running right through there. The baby's heart, however, is neither strong enough, nor is it close enough to the surface for you to feel it externally. Best of luck.

no, thats not possible. a heartbeat is usually not even heard by doctor's equipment untl at least 6/7 weeks. You wouldn't be able to feel it. You would at least need a doppler or later in pregnancy a steth
