Well here's the deal, I got my eyebrow pierced 6 days ago..and the guy I went to said he could change it himself after 3 days, and another tattoo place I went to said after 7 days they will change it but don't attempt it myself and then another one said not to cuz they might not be able to follow the hole exact. I have a 5 month old and he always grabs the ring and I always catch it on my brush, so I wanted something flat like a barbell so it won't get caught..what is your opinion??? Please help.

It's way too soon. If you're having trouble with the little one (they love to grab shiny piercings!) go back to your piercer and have him/her change it. You will need to use sterile jewelry (unless you have an auto-clave at home, you need to go to your piercer for this) and have them switch it. It's best if you can let it heal for a while longer, but sometimes these things can't wait. If you get any more piercings in the future, make sure to let your artist know that you have a young child at home and that you need to have low profile jewelry.

How long before I can change the starter jewelry?
Depending on your healing time (can vary person to person) as long as the piercing shows no sign of infection or irritation. Wait the full healing time recommended by your body piercer.

i had mine for about a week before i changed it to a barbell. i also had my nose pierced and i changed that after about 3 days. they pierce you with a hoop so you can move it around easier but its not hard to do with a barbell either. just watch if you do put a barbell in because the metal ball that hold its on always fall off and you don't want your baby getting a hold of that.
good luck!

it`s possible that it could be changed that quickly, but i`ve never personally known anyone who did...usually u must wait til it`s fully healed...i would definitely only let the piercer do it tho, because otherwise there might be problems...idk, i`ve had my eyebrow done for about 5 years now, but i had it done with the barbell & i`ve never ever removed it, so...
