you know that is a good question...I would think that in theory that all of Zombie's bodily functioning such as all of the circulatory, nervous, and digestive systems are shut down an/or deteriorated that they would not be able to retain any of the nutrients from human flesh, so I personally think it would go right through them. Maybe the reason they have an undying need to eat human flesh is because they cannot stay full....the flesh won't stay in their stomachs long enough for them to get full

Yes I would also say that because a zombie is dead, it won't put any further weight on.
Hey maybe it's a great thing to be a zombie then if that's the case, you can eat as many people as you like and never put on an ounce!!!!
Well I've heard of weight watchers, seen advertisements for all sorts of diet plans but never heard of a diet for zombies, a diet for dummies yes but never a zombie one!!!! lol

so, I take it zombies are blessed in some ways after all!!!! Although personally I couldn't eat a human, zombie or not, well not a whole one anyway!!!! lol

It's always one of those questions that throws the whole fictional existence into question.... I mean, 'undead'.... Why would they need to eat in the first place, what drives them to eat at all. Surely the metabolism would shut down, saliva production to help chew flesh/brains would cease and when was the last time you seen "Brains..Brains... Oh wait, gotta use the bathroom" in a zombie movie? I think like the question, If the machines were defeated how come they keep producing advance prototypes to mess with John Connor in the Terminator movies, it is one that's best left unanswered ;) Happy Viewing.

They have to eat a lot of brains before they gain weight. And you can't be inconspicuous about that. If you kill enough humans to eat their brains, the pitchforking townfolks come after you. So that's why you don't see many fat zombies... unless they're freshly made zombies who were fat humans to begin with. But this only works when a zombie bites a regular human. The zombies that are resurrected corpses will look... well, like corpses.

The zombies get thiner due to the amount of rotting flesh that is on their body. however they counter this by eating more human brains or skin depending on the zombie type

Sure they can get fat.....Think about it...if you let them loose at a packed concert or football game, think of all the people they have to eat around them...It would be like Thanksgiving Dinner Buffet for them. And most people gain weight around then, right?

Most of the zombies you see on TV are not fat, so as they are dead, they do not seem to put the weight on.

No they cant ,they just eat and eat until there decomposed stomache just bust open and then they can walk a little faster .thats why it seems some zombies a little faster is because there stomache has already popped.
