The weapon you refer to is something that was the invention of a man named Tesla Electro-Magnetic fields. The Usa has been working on some of the same type of weaponry. The movie was based on real science.

They have things like Mind control devices and Weather Weapons and Earthquake weapons they are experimenting with.

However, don't be alarmed. It has many faults and will not be in production for at least 15 more years.

A scalar is a type of vector. It has direction, magnitude and point of application. To that, you can apply scalar to conventional shaped charges as you could to anything. I have never personally heard of a weapon called a "Scalar weapon", it would not be an effective description.

Scalar warfare is nothing more than a half baked conspiracy theory involving electromagnetism and weather control.

I just did a search and read about them. They claim to use longitudinal EM fields. These kind of fields don't exist. It's a crock so don't get nervous.
