you sometimes hear that humans are the only species that are violent towards their own kind. This is not true. Many species kill their own for many different reasons. Violence is programmed into the brain as a tool for survival.

I think it's a mix of both. Some kids are raised in beautiful, normal homes. They are taught well and still grow up to be killers or violent @ssh0les. Sometimes they are a victim of society. That's what they grow up around, that's all they know. Then again, some kids grow up around nothing but violence and they choose to go the other way and be a good citizen. It's hard to really tell what the cause is because there are so many factors.

It's a learned behavior. Too many children have been taught for centuries that violence is a solution to a problem (physical discipline).

Both. We all have the fight or flight response. And some people are more emotional or sensitive than others. This sensitivity can be heightened by exposure to voilence through conditioning and environment. I think we all have it in us but because some people are inherantly more sensitive because of their genes and upbringing they will tend to have to manage their violent tendencies more. Other things like drugs can influence this also.

But remember that humans also have a huge capacity for love, compassion and happiness.

Sincerely.

Learned behavior

I also don't believe that racism or labeling is apart of human nature either; that's just a great excuse

I think violence is a lack of parenting, education, and poverty. It can also be a learned behavior

Violence is a societally conditioned *coping mechanism* when one is perceived to be threatened by an either actual or phobic *enemy*.

I guess (and hope..)that its learned behaviour..humans learn from what they see ,hear and sense..if they are exposed to violent behaviour in their impressionable ages..there are chances that it may become a way of life..
