Well, what is your office policy? They say that there are three topics that shouldn't be discussed at any public gathering: One is religion. One is Politics. I don't remember the third. However, both of these topics and the reactions to them on all sides of the issue cause so much argument and heated debate that it is considered unwise to discuss them in certain circumstances. Remember that if anyone in your office is offended by your speech, you could get fired.

Um...no. I would not get everyone fired up about it. Maybe if you were talking to someone one of one. There are so many opinions about this topic. It could cause some ill feelings.
Instead, talk about something like the weather :)

no, I think a lot of people may decide to *make* it a big issue -- especially if you're not in the same favor as they are.
Keep to something simple like the weather, the weekend coming, Friday the 13th, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars...

not at this time ; too heated ; you may be fired for saying something that you shouldn't and that is what happens when you don't stand up for freedom of speech for all; change the dial; don't buy the CD etc ; let it be our choice not theirs
