No they should not. Banning ads is useless. If you think that fast food is what is causing obesity then that is just uninformed. Obesity is not caused by television or radio ads. It is caused by laziness and, in kids, ineffective parenting. People don't have to buy what they see in ads. If kids are pushing their parents to buy fast food because of commercials, then the parents should just say "no." They should explain to kids that the food is not healthy to eat all the time. Also, they should get the kids out to exercise.

Banning fast food ads is a waste of time. If someone wants the food it won't matter if it is advertised.

No, of course they shouldn't be banned. We have the 1st Amendment for a reason, after all. People should exercise self-control. More than likely, those that are obese due to overeating (not separate medical reasons) are probably going to stop by McDonalds on the way home whether they saw a commercial that day or not.

Many of us are just too lazy to cook. I just don't see people going home and making their own meals just because there aren't fast food commercials. It wouldn't make any difference. And if we were to ban those, then what's next? No, that's overstepping the bounds.

This is America? We don't ban anything that makes a buck. Fast Food is a major industry.Consider all the single moms and college students you would put out of work/ banning the advertising would certainly cut a swathe in the business/ but who would it benefit/ y'know you have a choice /you don't have to eat it every day.

well gee, lets ban adds for hostess, sara lee, sugery cereals. any food that has fat or calories. People need to have self control. Its not the falt of the company that makes these foods. its the falt of the person who is making the choices to eat these foods. you can go to a fast food place and order grilled chicken, or you can get an upsised double quarter cheese meal with a milkshake. its all about choices. no advertising should not be banned. people just need to learn how to make healthy choices.

I don't know about banned, but rather toned down some or offer smaller portions. Not everyone can eat, for conversation a double cheese burger with large fries and large drink. Nor for that matter is it good to eat that much at once. I think if they are going to show their big burger choice also offer a smaller choice or a salad.

No, because if you do not want to get fat do not eat the food. Whoever is obese because of fast food became that way because they have no self control, nobody held a gun to their head and said eat this fattening food or die, it was their decision.

Why? Who cares if it 'advocates an risky existence-kind' as you're saying; that is not any longer (& should not be) as a lot as you or every body else what my existence-kind is-healthy or no longer. To me, commercials are like reminders to purchase issues i'd favor to purchase besides. If i do not favor to purchase issues, no ad in the international's going to convince me in the different case. both way, that is not any individual elses organization. : ) .

I think parents should learn how to cook.
Make good food at home, there is no reason to go out for fast food.

Yes! Than my kids would stop bugging me about going to these places. I think my son is addicted to something in the cheeseburgers at Mcdonalds.
