I wouldn't go the automatic feeder route. The blocks are mostly plaster of Paris and add unwanted chemicals to your tank - they only last about a week anyway. The battery operated feeders are better, but unless you have time to play with the feeding amount, they can overfeed your fish. And if the fish are eating, they're also pooping. Who cleans the tank in the two months you're away?

I think MM's hit on the best idea - have a trusted friend or relative come by a couple times a week. You can show them how much food to use (or even prepackage some in plastic wrap so they aren't overfed) and how to do a water change and ask them to do that around the end of the first month. Your fish get food, maybe one cleaning, and the person can bring in mail, papers, etc. so your house doesn't have the "away on vacation" look for better security for you.

Walmart has automated feeders w timers on them. N u might choose 2 purchase a stronger clear out. i assume ur assume 2 have a million two times the flexibility 4 wtvr length tank u have 4 goldfish besides. N i be attentive to this wud b a soreness interior the butt, yet while u relatively love ur fish, in 2wks i wudchronic back the three hrs only 2 verify on them n do a water replace only 2 b on the risk-free area. Goldfish produce 3-5 circumstances extra waste than any tropical fish. My tanks get cloudy n have 2 do water transformations wkly each and every so often extra. relies upon on how vast ur fish r n how vast the tank is.

I would suggest that you go to your local pet store or even your local Walmart and see about investing into an automatic fish feeder. I would start getting the fish use to it before leaving for your vacation. If not interested in purchasing something like this- make sure that you have someone you can trust to make sure the fish is fed.

What an enlightened sinner ! Cut back a few bucks from your girl-fun vacation budget and keep your fishes with a pet shop / aquarium shop until you are back. They won't do it for free, so some green bucks would certainly help !!

You might want to get some FISH PYRAMID FEEDER you can buy in pet shops/stores, just get two and pick for the right amount like 2 weeks or etc. and just drop it in your aquarium.

Then, just ask for your neighbor or anyone you can trust to just check for them every now and then. It'll be better to buy those FISH FEEDER PYRAMID so that your trusted friend won't have to feed the fish. =)

I hope that helped.

Give them to a neighbor/friend that want and will take care of them. You should give them money for food and agree on a fee for their service and expenses. Such as water/sewer to clean, electric for pumps and lights etc.

Try to get a neighbor or friend to stop by and feed them about twice a week. That should keep them alive until you get back.
