Hate is strong - I try not to hate anyone. But they dwell on discord and racial tension - they don't try to prevent it, they thrive on it. There are lots of people of all colors and creeds who are being wronged- a person who is genuinely concerned about his fellow man would not zero in on his own race only. People like Sharpton and Jackson are part of the problem and will never be the solution.

I don't hate them for the content of their character, just as I don't hate Don Imus for the content of his character. I do, however, dislike intensely their closed mindedness on subjects that have been here since Adam and Eve were kicked out of the Garden of Eden. Yes, everybody knows that slavery was a horrific period in our history. This was caused by white people. We as Blacks did not ask to be bought here to a strange land to be misused and mistreated horrifically! On the other hand, people like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Don Imus are ignorant human beings. They are everywhere and these few just happen to be in the position to infuriate society with their ignorance. It is left up to us to think for ourselves and determine what is best for us. We do have the power to rid these people from office, however, they hold no political office. They were self appointed to speak for the downtrodden and poverty stricken Black America. By doing this they have actually helped to keep the Black person down with their ignorance

I don't hate anyone but I do think that they get on their soap boxes and some people but fail to notice what people within their own race do. It is not okay for anyone to use the N word or call someone a hoe. But it seems that they dont mind if someone within their race does it like rappers, but watch out when a white person does it. There seems to be a double standard and this really bothers me! It isn't right for anyone to degrade another race so if this is going to be your stance be fair and get on everyone that does it.

I don't like Sharpton right now. I feel that, as a "Reverend," he should have preached forgiveness and, instead, he went for blood. Not that Imus will lose any sleep. The guy makes 10 million annually so it's not like he's going to have to file unemployment. Still, Sharpton totally contradicts his title. He's very spiteful and unforgiving. I'm black and I don't like this about him and hope that people don't associate him with me in any way whatsoever.

I do not hate them. This is a free country and they are allowed to speak their minds.
I do, however, hate what they say. They are both extreme racists, and Jesse Jackson is a documented shake down artist. They spread their message of hate, instead of trying to solve the problem within their own community.
Why not go after all these rap artists calling young women "bitches" and "ho's" and the young men who get black girls pregnant and leave the children fatherless?
That would be true leadership.

Why HATE?
Such a strong word!
I just feel sorry for them and for those who worship them.
They are what suppresses the black culture and assures them they will have a permanent victim status in the otherwise progressive American society.
they should quit complaining and move on like other minorities do.

Yes, why are they allowed to say what they want and get away with it? How come sharpton was allowed to call the Duke players "rapists" and they were innocent. Why hasn't he apologized to them for that??

Al Sharpton needs to fight for a cause that doesn't have anything to do with him being on TV.

people complain how he likes the spotlight, but people like giving it to him. if i had a $100 for every question about him, my car would be paid off in 2 months instead of 5 years!
