When I'm in emotional pain, the company and a hug from my mum or boyfriend really helps. There have been times when I've had terrible emotional pain and no one to turn to, and in those situations, I would distract myself as best I could and not indulge myself by watching a comedy programme, or a film I really love, or reading a great book....basically doing anything that would keep my attention for a bit.
As for physical, well, thats usually cured a bit by paracetamol and ibuprofen, cause I'm allergic to everything else.

Well, for physical pain, I find Nurophen Plus a winner.
Emotional pain is tough but having the support of my friends and husband is probably number 1 on making me feel better. Followed by Haribo and a good movie.

music most def
for example, i was under a lot of stress of finsihing all my hw cuz if i take a break i ususally lose the motivation to do it, so i had to check my email real quick and i checked my myspace and i heard my song, and that def made a difference
dancing for fun makes me fell so much better, but performing in front of others actually makes me nervous!

probably the worst thing I do when I feel emotional pain, is run from everyone I care about, i then feel the pain, allowing it to wash over me, try to understand why I am feeling that way and then rationalise it. My girls think I'm so cold, but it works for me!

physical pain, get off the foot that's twisted, rest my back, etc..
emotional pain i just mull it over, think about why it hurt me. If that doesn't work bottle it up, sure its not the
healthiest way but better then taking drugs like painkillers or anti depressants (which typically don't work)

Any self-indulgent behaviour. Chocolate,food,pain-killers if it's physical pain, alcohol and senseless movies if it's emotional.
