I keep receiving mail from them telling me that they could not scan an attachment and that I need to download the attached file 'bugfix-75474.zip' Is this really Yahoo?

No. Contact abuse@yahoo.com. they will treat it very seriously. do not run the programme, it will be a self-extracting zip file with a programme to take over your machine and make it replicate this to others, monitor your use of the machine and copy your personal details.

Probably not. Have you sent any emails with attachments, and if so, did the recipient receive it? If it were from Yahoo, is would be "@yahoo.com" and not "@yahoo-inc.com".
