How exactly does the "fight them there, so we don't have to fight them here" theory work? It sounds sweet, and mildly entertaining, but why do the terrorists agree to these terms?

Does our presence in Iraq keep the terrorists from coming to America? If so, HOW?

How does it work, EXACTLY?

Is there a large force field that surrounds the U.S., and gets its power source from the presence of American military personnel in Iraq?

When the last American boot leaves Iraq, the force field dies, and the terrorists can then get to the U.S.?

Explain it to me.

Use small words. I KNOW it can't be done without the use of "lib", or one of its variants, so I'm providing the first "lib" for you.

LIB.

you put it perfectly "it sounds sweet and mildly entertaining!" I think a lot of ignorant people (cons) take this at face value and ACTUALLY belive they are going to FOLLOW us home. when you really break down what that means its almost humorous. Its just something Bush's drones parrot when they hear someone talking about the war logically! what I love about bush's satements is that none of them have to actually be logical in order to have half the country repeating "we have to fight them there or they'll follow us home." Bush's followers are really like children alls they have to do is be told something, no matter how idiotic it sounds, and they repeat it like a holiday jingle! bush is really a genius hes managed to dupe half the nation into thinking he knows what hes talking about by using little sayings that seem rediculous to the logical half of this country!

To be honest, I don't understand why they say that either, it doesn't make any sense what so ever, or do they mean their nukes will follow us here?? but I do know that it's important to stop Iran from taking over Iraq, because that would be it for the west, Ahmadinejad would gain conrtol of the whole middle east, The Saudi's are terrified of Iran gaining more power, and so is every country out there, there is so much radicalism rampently sweeping through out the middle east, and they are all terrified and so ultimately I think that the "A" Rabs, have no choice but to be the ones who will deal with Iran, that's why the Saudi's are pumping money into Iraq to help the sunni's to fight against the shi'ite's ie: Iran, if you look closely you will see that the Saudi's are actualy trying to help America in a behind the scene way, they have to be careful because they have extremists swarming all over them to, but I do think that the Saudi's do not have any choice other than to start putting there foot down and start playing a more open role and the other's like Egypt and Jordan, kuwait, ect, ect, ultimately they are the only ones who can clean up there own back yard's.

you'd think that since our military was bogged down in Iraq, and our borders are wide open, it would be a huge invitation to them.

I'm not a liberal, but I agree with what you are saying. The argument makes no sense to me neither.
