How do I get into my Temp Folder??

Question

I saved a document from my email and now I can't find it.

So what I did is act like I was going to save it again from my email and look at the folder my computer was going to automatically put it.

So when I look to retrace the steps it goes from Local Disc C to my Documents to Local Settings and then to Temp

However, when I follow these steps, there is no Temp folder under the Local Settings even though when I attempt to save the document, that is the path it shows.

Does anyone know how I can get into this Temp folder??

That is because it's a hidden folder.

To unhide it-
Go to my computer, then go to the top and click TOOLS and FOLDER OPTIONS.
Click the VIEW Tab.
Check the button "Show hidden files and folders."
Click OK

Now you will be able to see the temp folder as well as any other system file or folder that is hidden.

May sound stupid but why don't you re save it then but point it to where you "know" you can find it. You can also do a search for the file. But there should be a Temp folder exactly where you said there is also a temp folder C:\Windows\temp, also,
"C:\Documents and Settings\"computersname"\Local Settings\Temp"

Set your viewing options to not hide hidden folders. It will pop up at you.

I also believe that searching for 'Temp" will allow you to open it.
