I am beginning to worry about answering this kind of question, because you will be freaked out.

In Mexico there is a kind of ceremony called a "Limpia" (literally means cleanse) and it is done with one raw egg, incense and a small and small tender pirul (that's a kind of tree pretty common there, which I don't know the translation to) twig.

The ritual is a mixture of Indian mysticisim and Christian prayers. It is believed to help relieve the person undergoing the ritual from bad vibes and negative energy, it cures "evil eye".

The person performing the "Limpia" lights up the incense and says some prayers, passing the incense container arount the "patient's" body, he or she then grabs the pirul twig and strokes the "patient" with the twig while praying as well, and then they grab the raw egg and pass it all over the "patient's" body. The egg gets hot...I don't know why it does this but it does.

Then on a glass full of water they open the egg and let the contents fall inside and they analize the formations...and tell you what was causing your aches or your bad energy.

It is part of our culture I guess.

In my case...oh I think I will regret this...I was three years old when I had that done.

We had a weekend home in a tiny town called Tequisquiapan, and after a few times we went there I started getting sick. I had diarrhea for weeks and weeks, my Mom took me to the Doctor and they gave me medicine, it would work but then I went back to Tequisquiapan and a few days later I would be sick again.

After three or four months of this cycle my Mom was just too worried and exhausted from visiting Doctor after Doctor that she was willing to do anything anyone told her to do, so one day my Dad's Mom came by our house and asked my Mom to let her take me to have a "limpia" cause she thought I was a victim of someone's "evil eye" (my Grandmother believes in that stuff), and my Mom was reluctant but finally agreed.

I don't remember much about it...I do remember the egg part...and the lady who "read" the egg told my Grandmother that there was a Blond man who looked at me a lot but never dared to touch me...and then she described the man in detail, she told my Grandmother that the man didn't mean to do any harm, he just had really heavy vibes that were causing me to get sick. The next time he saw me, he had to touch me, so that I wouldn't absorb the bad energy.

My Grandmother took me home and told my Mom everything the woman had told her. I turns out the man was our gardener...he was always around when I was in the pool and he was always telling my Mom that I was really cute, so on the next trip to Tequisquiapan, before going into the pool my Mom told the gardener to please hold my hand while she got something from her bag, and as he held my hand he told her that I was really cute and so well behaved yada yada...it was the last time I got sick in Tequisquiapan.

Believe it or not...

I am doing the same thing as spadezgurl. I am sorry I don't have an answer.

I can tell you that it must work, because a good friend of mine had it done. She had so many problems. She spent the whole day before the energy clearing fasting and praying and then she had it done the next day.

Her life transformed!

I meant to ask her more about it but she moved to another country...I lost her address and changed my email and we lost touch so I can't or couldn't ask her.

I don't want to go into too much detail, suffice it to say that it involved a funnel, 5 quarts of olive oil, and an orifice that usually isn't used as an entrance.

It felt rather odd at the time, but then I was totally cleansed.

Yes, it is clearing your chakras and it is relaxing, it only works if you really believe.
