HE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT EVENT AS THE CAKE WAS ORDERED BY INDIAN HIGH COMMISSION ONLY. HE DID NOT NOTICE THE RESEMBLANCE OF FLAG IN THE CAKE.

It was not sachin's fault. The people who made the cake should have taken care of it, not Tendulkar. We all know that Sachin respects the national flag. Some critics r just waiting to point a finger a him. That is wrong. He probably had no such thought of disrespecting our flag. If u remember, he was the 1st person to wear the TRICOLOUR on his helmet. He even has it pasted in his kit. This makes it clear that the Little Master respects our national flag. The media just wants a topic which it can hype. That should stop. I respect Sachin and his Patriotism and I don't think he has done so to disrespect our nation flag. So let's stop this topic.

When the Indian High commissioner is also present during the event,it appears the cake would have been a poor imitation of the national flag.Even if it was a mistake it was purely an inadvertent act.
It shows how, when a celebrity goes through a bad phase even trivial things are blown out of proportions by the media and some people.

Tendulkar has clarified that the function was organised by Indian High Commission and he was asked to cut the cake. He also stated that he did not notice that the cake had the resemblence of Indian National Flag.
If what he has said is to be believed, he should not be blatently blamed and the Indian High Commission who had arranged the function and the cake are to be blamed.

ok why is it wrong? i don't think so. some people make it a huge issue. ok if you love your country so much..why doesn't one join politics? why? why? if you love your country so much why do you go abroad and earn money when you can do it here? why? why? if you love your country so much why do you hate the cricketers when they fail to reach super 8? why? why? then whats wrong in cutting a cake regarding shaped of our national flag?

It was done when a High Indian Gov. Official was there and at that venue too. It is disrespect but Sachin is not at fault. It is Govt. itself.. India High Commission.I agreed., it is just related due to poor performance by Team in WC07

making a cake with toppings resembling the national flag does not look wrong...
we will have to relax the stringent restrictions and our narrow thinking in respect of our national flag... we should be as near as possible to our national flag as it is our pride and identity in global perspective... it belongs to us and not merely a restricted property of the government...

He did not do it intentionally. Since the indian team has performed badly, everything the players do will be carefully scrutinized and blamed.
