To providing as much tangible good and charity to society as Imus?

He raised 1 million for Sids two days ago, he runs the ranch for kids with cancer, he gives quite a bit of his money to charity.

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, chase the spotlight like lawyers chasing ambulances, they shake down corporations with the threat of the race card. In the years that they have worn the leadership mantle of their communitites, nothing tangible has happened. If anything crime has risen and the plight of African Americans has worsened. How can this be a good thing for society.

Words can hurt, but loosing actual tangible help for charities can be physically damaging.

How can this be a good thing?

Jackson and Sharpton have done nothing but promote themselves over the years. And, the more they get away with, the worse they get. They could care less about those in need be they black , white or any other color.

Imus has busted his butt over the years to help other people regardless of who they are.

I just checked the news regarding his Radiothon...so far they've raised over 2.3 million. Beat that Sharpton and Jackson.

The only thing Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson not to mention Louis Farakhan have come close to is top prize for being a black racist bigot. They are the top three runners in that game, and I agree with your summary, they have done nothing for the black community except keep it in the old racial days. Time for all three to be publicly disgraced for the racist bigots they are, and make them go away for ever.

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson keep racist tenstion fueled not help it. They think that they are the next MLK, and they are not. To compere themselves with him is an insult to him. Those two are crooks and everytime they open their mouths, they degrade black people as a whole. They are as a disgrace to the term 'reverand'. I just hope people see that they are not MLK and MLK is not them.

i might choose to handle the Rev's Sharpton and Jackson then pass directly to speak slightly approximately Don Imus. Sharpton and Jackson are the two out for one ingredient and one ingredient purely...Sharpton and Jackson. even if advances their time table to their earnings...they're going to do. on an identical time as each and each might have started their "combat" for equality with the better of intentions, the two have degraded to the ingredient of being a media magnet for what next will go out their mouth. And the Rev. Jesse Jackson? What ever occurred to his illegimate new child and the quelled uproar that replaced into right this moment hushed? Don Imus. What might nicely be reported approximately Don Imus that hasn't already been reported. he's a bitter old guy who (to his earnings in this occasion) hates all and sundry and each little thing. Ask Jackson about Hymietown! How can he come down on someone else after saying something as bad as that?

I couldn't agree more! Don Imus may not please everyone, but he is a good man at heart. Sharpton is good for nothing and needs to find a real job.

Don Imus said something he should not have said and his employer fired him. Doesn't matter how much money he raised, or how many charitable things he does. He's not the only man who can raise money and the world won't stop turning because of him. He said the wrong thing and he got fired. Bummer.
