Yes, just last year...a teenage driver in a big hurry pulled out in front of the car in front of me...T-boned the car which was a grandmother and her 7 month old grandson. I pulled over to make sure everyone was ok. As the grandmother was screaming profanities at the teen, I noticed the baby was not crying, but very red. I pulled him out only to find out he was choking.

I am a CPR/First aid instructor, so I teach choking management everyday. It sure is different preforming it on a 7 month old baby who was beginning to turn blue than it is on the manikin I use in class.

It was quite an experience. I have preformed CPR many times and saved lives, but I chose to share the one about the baby...that was an awesome feeling.

Good question!

Twice actually.
Once I stopped to get a drink at a convienience store and this streetperson fell down right in front of my car. When I checked to see if she was alright, she didn't have a pulse.
Had to do cpr several times before the ambulance got there.

Then, once my daughter choked on a grape so badly that I had to do the heimlich on her.

Yeah, when I was about 9 or 10, I went to slumber party at a friends house. Me and my friend Hannah were riding those scooter things around the perimeter of a pool. Hannah fell in and I went in after her, but she kept pulling me down. I waved my hand frantically in the air and after a few seconds, Hannah's mom came and pulled us both out. I'm not sure if she would've died, but I think I did save her life.

Yes. I was in Spain doing the famous Pamplona bull run with my friend. You get chased through the streets by a herd of angry bulls....its an adrenalin thing. Anyway my friend got cornered and a massive (very annoyed) bull with huge horns came charging at him. He thought he was going to die, but at the last minute I threw a banana skin right into the bulls path. The bull skidded in a blur of hooves, crashed into a wall and knocked itself out. Then a Spaniard came along and killed it.

I dont know if we saved a life but I think we helped get this girl out of danger once. my freinds and I We went out clubbing (something i dont do often thank god!) and were all a lil drunk and craving tacos...on our way to the taco stand..theres this girl about 18 on the sidewalk with no shoes, no cell, no bag or wallet, a bit zonked out but otherwise seeming coherent ...we got her a bottle of water...asked her what happened but she said nothing she's fine......she happened to have friends in the same apartment my friend lives but couldnt remember the call number to let herself in so at 3am in the morn we call my freind who lets us in .....we find out what level shes in...knock on every door....annoy many grumpy and sleepy people in the process ......find her freinds eventually...and there u go safe and sound away from the crazy streets! Lol

I did, and I didn't know I had, but it was just by talking.
One of my students wanted to die, she tried to kill herself, and was cutting herself on a daily basis.
I didn't know about the suicide attempt but noticed her cutting during class one day and decided to pay her more attention.
We ended up talking sometimes during recess and whenever she could grab my arm in one of the corridors in between classes, she helped me carry my bag or something, but she was always there.
After several months of interaction her self destructive attitude stopped and now we e-mail each other and sometimes talk on the phone.
She is doing quite well, I know she tried to kill herself because she told me later in our relationship, and she also said that feeling like someone did care about her made the difference and made her want to live.

yeah, at 8 years old i dove into a white water river and caught a toddler before she hit the water.

I had been swimming the river all week, knew the currents and the depths, and loved swimming. thought it was fun, but the mom thought it was a very big deal!
