Odds are you have some kind of party bias, too, and will be lead by that rather than by what is true.

In any case, you need to be more specific. The best thing you can do is to examine BOTH sides of the story, and determine the truth from the sources and accuracy of what you find. Odds are the truth is somewhere in the middle, though that is not necessarily true. Regardless, without specific questions, it is virtually impossible to provide you with accurate information.
