I want to make the house so clean when they come home. She's a total clean freak so I guess Im just trying to figure out what I should all get done before tomorrow. It's a two story house with the basement which is where my boyfriend sleeps all the time and she usually doesnt go down there. What should I make sure I do upstairs and even downstairs? What will make this house look like I took extra good care of it?

Start with cleaning the bathrooms & be sure to get the mirror and sink.

Wipe kitchen counters, put everything back where it was, be sure to run the dishwasher and put dishes away.

Run the garbage disposer, dis-pos-al, in case there's food gunk in there & flush it out with lots of water.

Be sure all the little waste paper baskets are empty, take kitchen trash to curb.

If you put food in their fridge, get rid of it. If you drank their milk or ate their cereal replace it.

If you drove their car, fill it with gas.

Strip the beds you slept in. Wash the sheets in cold water to be on the safe side, and put the beds back together.

The basement should look neat, too.

Any mail that came for them while they were gone should be in one pile so they can go through it.

If they get the newspaper, leave it with the mail.

Vacuum and do a good job. It's a way to make a big impact.

If she has a swiffer use it in the bathrooms and in the kitchen.

Unless his Aunt has air fresheners or room deodorizers I would not use them, she might be allergic. There is one Oust Unscented that I'm not allergic to, but I've had cleaning crews use Febreze and it makes me miserable.

I would also buy a cheap bouquet of flowers and have them placed where she's sure to see them when she enters the house. Leave her a note, thanking her for allowing you two to stay at her home, hope they had a nice trip, etc.

You might want to be GONE when they get home, or make yourself scarce shortly after they get home - they want to decompress, unpack and relax.

You're sweet to want to make the house look nice, now get busy with the clean up!

White Vinegar makes a great all purpose cleaner and will do the whole house even laundry and laundry stains remove residues and remove odors it is also touted as the best disinfectant in the world and besides that is really inexpensive to use you only need a small amount when you clean, it also shines countertops and cleans cars inside and out, vinegar can be used to clean floors and make them shine, there is really lots of cleaning chores you can use vinegar on, it has been a great cleaner for me for many years now, I won't switch to those old commercial type cleaners ever again, and you can get vinegar at the 99cent stores if you want. Good Luck !

Make sure to eliminate all the junk.. any trash you may have left around, and take out the trash. Check for rings on tables and anything that may have spilled.Make sure you cleanup the bathroom and the kicthen. If the counters clean and the sink is shining, it will look great. make sure there aren't any spots on the laminate or tile floors and vacuum the caprets well. When its good and spruced up, spray some febreeze or something similar around and viola, its clean!

Where did you sleep? Make sure you wash the sheets from the bed you used. When I stayed over at someone else's cabin (they were clean freaks too) it was very important to them that we washed all of the sheets/pillow cases/clothes that we used. It grosses some people out to use the same linens that someone else has used.

Unless he's in a wheelchair or using a walker, he should be opening doors for you and pulling out your chair. If he's 98, that hought to be second nature for him. Obviously, if he uses a walker or wheelchair, I'd say you should be getting the doors for _him._
