Or do all the charities he did work for just have to do without the millions Imus raised every year? And how many kids with cancer that Imus have to die now thanks to Jackson and Sharpton, now that Imus can't raise money for their care?

No, Sharpton and Jackson only have one charity, and it is their personal bank accounts. They get rich as poor little kiddies with cancer wither and die. Sharpton will buy more hair products and Jackson will have more money to pay for illegitimate children he fathers.

Bill Cosby for President!

i know you hate both guys, but dont start any lies

"And how many kids with cancer that Imus have to die now thanks to Jackson and Sharpton, now that Imus can't raise money for their care?"- laughable statement, everybody knows that the millions of dollars that celebrities give to charities go to the pockets of the already wealthy before they get to the kids. your cutting deep friend and i dont think you know what your doing, because i can go on and on

We prefer our celeb's spread eagle not racist. I mean why not erase someone's complete moral and ethical history over a 5-10 sec temper tantrum; it will surely solve all the real racism in this country...

Theres nothing really to be said for this. Imus apologized, what else could he possibly do? It was wrong, he admitted as much... did just about every respectable thing he could possibly do to correct it. But some people are never satisfied, and theres little that can be done about it.

I often think those who wave the flag of racism are often times the most racist of them all...

Imus should have thought about all of his philanthropic dealings BEFORE he shot off his mouth and said something that racist, sexist and just plain stupid.

In his position of power he had a greater responsibility to think about the repercussions before speaking his mind. You can't put the blame on Jackson or Sharpton.

Bigotry and hate have oozed back into being OK in today's society. It was time to put an end to it. Good for MSNBC, the sponsors and everyone else that spoke against this and got him fired. Unacceptable!

Imus can still raise money for Charity and probably more than he did before, he can now devote his full time to it.
He got fired from NBC, not erased from the face of the earth.

Don Imus? Sounds like a Jewish version of the Godfather.

Imus needed to be fired. Imus is held up nationally as a political spokesperson. He often has political guests on his program and frequently has political discussions. He represents a white majority population that in the not too distant past, horribly repressed the Black population. To allow a man like Imus to promote racism on such a forum is to allow the potential for the abject racism and repression of our past to begin to creep back into our society.

Racism is a right-wing attribute (which is quite obvious on this forum) and Imus speaks to that audience. He knew his audience would appreciate those comments and he was more than willing to cater to their racist whims. A decent society must put a man like Imus and his right-wing Archie Bunker followers in their place.

Only if they get their cut. Just look at all the money Jesse has skimmed off of the Rainbow Coalition of the past couple of decades.

Sharpton is only out for himself. IN most churches, there are religious pictures, crosses, etc. Guess what there are BIG pictures of all over Sharpton's church??
Yup, Sharpton himself.

Words have consequences and nothing good has come out of Imus' insults.
