Some people are in the business of sending invoices to businesses just as scams. They send you an invoice and they never even sold your company a product/service.

Call them up and find out what the invoice is for. Figure out if its a legitimate company. If it is, then simply just pay it.

The second notice doesn't give you enough detail to be comfortable the bill is legit. So, she wants you to call and get a copy of the original invoice, plus register the fact that you never got the original invoice.

I had that happen. Usually you agreed to pay for something in the small print when doing something else. Sometimes they just screw up and have the wrong information. Either way call and find out why your being billed and how do you cancel it. Don't let them talk you into a free year of service to make up for the confusion or you'll be back here in a year with the same problem.

Also make sure it's a real company and you don't become a victim of identify theft.

If you didn't recieve the goods or service that the invoice is for...it's probably a scam.
