I feel like so many people around me have no common sense.. Am I the only one that feels this way?

Some have it and some don't. I do know it is something that can never be taught to someone. A short story to illustrate this.
Went in after Christmas to the local Wal-Mart to get slippers for a friend. They were all jumbled in the display so I was searching for a matching pair. I inadvertently picked up 3 slippers. When I got to the check-out I discovered my mistake. I told the girl that the 3rd, single slipper was for my l/2 sister...Her response was that she didn't know if she could sell me one slipper!!!! (Did I want the 3rd slipper? No!...do I have a l/2 sister? No....and what are the odds that if I did have a l/2 sister that she would have only 1 leg?????

No, you're not alone. I ask that question a lot. I usually just shake my head and try to ignore the human lab monkeys I have for coworkers. I think most of the people that actually have common sense have gone into hiding from the majority of senseless people running amok in the world.

Common sense isn't as common as it used to be. Too many people are caught up in the web of political correctness to the point where it affects their judgement in any given situation. That is where the conflict lies.

Unfortunately common sense isn't too common. It's like fashion sense or one's opinion of one's ability to dance: everybody thinks they're good at it, but not everyone is.

No. My sis-in-law is crazy book smart but has the common sense of a chicken. I guess some people just can't have both.

That is a fabulous question & one I have often wondered myself. Ever wonder how the uber smart people with book smarts are the ones with no common sense?
