Nevermind by a country mile. There other albums where either average or poor. If it wasn't for Nevermind they would have just have been another fringe grung band.

both great albums, but every song on nevermind is great- on in utero there are a few so-so songs. and i HATE heart shaped box.

i like both however i have to go for in utero as it was truer to what kurt wanted (not so studio polished however live unplugged in new york is my favourite nirvana album simply due to covers of the meat puppets, vascelines and bowie kurt played songs he liked not just what he wrote. His cover of jesus dont want me for a sun beam, lake of fire and the man who sold the world are better than the originals!!! RIP Kurt

I'd go for In Utero, just for Heart Shaped Box.
