Fear of the number 13 is technically known as triskedaikephopia. It stems from the fact there were allegedly 13 disciples at the alleged Last Supper of the alleged Jesus, and the 13th allegedly betrayed Him. No superstition has a factual basis at all. Most are the result of ignorance and gullibility.
