hey - has anyone watched the latest episode? juliets story? wow! good episode! just wanted to hear your thoughts on it!
one big thing that is bugging me - ben said no women could have babies on the island, which is why he got juliet to go over.
but......
he said earlier that he was born on the island.....?!
love to hear any thoughts on lost + this episode! x

Wow! I told my brother the same thing. Ben was born on the island. Also, didn't the Frenchwoman give birth to her daughter on the island? She said she was stolen by the others as a baby! I liked the episode but I don't like that Juliet is on the dark side. I was really starting to like her. I enjoyed the flashback and seeing how much she loves her sister. Perhaps she's not totally evil? I'm starting to think maybe Jack turned too. He's totally under Juliet's spell, which is a dangerous thing.

I totally didn't even catch that! It's probably just a lie he told her. Although think about Russeau (sp?) She was pregnant when she went to the island, and had her baby there, and the same thing happened with Claire obviously. I think that probably Ben's mother was pregnant when she got there. I think what they are referring to is no women could have babies is the women who stay on the island can not get pregnant.
I think this episode was great!!! I want to know what she is up to, and what the others are planning. Interesting question-what will they do when they find out Sun is pregnant?!

No, he said he's lived on this island his whole life, not that he was born on the island.
SO it could mean a few things:
1. He was conceived OFF the island and was born on the island.
2. #1 but he was born off the island and his parent(s) brought him to the island.
3. He was conceived and born on the island BEFORE the incident that stopped women from successfully completing a pregnancy.
With Rousseau, she was very pregnant when she got to the island, so she did not conceive on the island and is therefore safe. Obviously since Alex is alive. She gave birth not long after getting to the island.

I thought about that too. Maybe its only happened in recent years. But, that would also mean that the island has been used for over 30 years, and you'd think someone would have found it by now. The thing thats really bugging me is if Clarie and Jack will ever find out their brother and sister. I mean, they probably wouldn't show us that if it wasn't going to play out later.
