I want to write on a cool event (i.e. The Battle of Thermoplyae [300 Spartans, Tons of Persians]). Unfortunately the Battle of Thermoplyae has been taken, so what other events are there?

If you like Greek history, maybe you could do the Peloponessian wars..or a debate on whether the Trojan war was really as enormous as the Iliad tells us it is.

On the other hand, if you're really looking for original stuff, I suggest you go with East Asian studies. No -one ever does that...so maybe ancient Japanese history? There are some great sites out there, unfortunately I can't remember them at the moment....Korean history is also interesting.

South America is also rarely done, so I would suggest that as a third option. Good luck!!

Watch "Glory". Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman, Matthew Broderick and Carey Elwes are astonishing! It tells the genuine tale of the 54th Massachusetts Regiment, the 1st all-African-American regiment formed for the time of the yankee Civil conflict. super stuff and factually fantastically precise. rejoice with!
