i SURE HOPE SO // I am so sick of certain groups who think just because you don't agree with them they have the right to deprive you the right of free speech. Granted Imus was o jerk in his comments. But haven't others on TV. or radio also misspoke. Rosie calling the President a murder, Gibson & his remarks,All the Hollywood stars that are always saying or doing foolish things. We found it in our hearts to forgive them so why cant we forgive I mus. He admitted his mistake, wants to make amends for it. Why not give him a chance. We gave Sharpten forgiveness for his many outright falsehoods but Imus does not deserve the same?? sounds " raciest " to me. Who is next?? Rush, Hanniety, Orielly?? How about a few libs. I guess they are the only ones who deserve to be on the public air ways. Oh I forgot AIR AMERICA droped them. Humm Do i see a pattern here??

I have never listened to or seen his show, however what he said is no different than the kinds of things I hear almost daily from all the ghetto talking brothers I ride to work with daily on the back of the 5-ton here in Iraq. It is almost accepted to be a racial minded person if you are a black man, but god-forbid a white person say anything negative.
I am sure he will have a job again, but lets see if all the ignorance in the rap world will be silenced also. I doubt it.
Ignorance is accepted in rap and hip-hop. Just how it is.
I mean their ebonic language is highly accepted. Oh well , Ignorance is bliss.

I believe he will follow in the footsteps of Howard Stern. Imus will probably land on his feet either at Sirius or XM radio. There are still plenty of people out there who were not offended by his "Rutgers" remarks, and would tune in to listen,

I am sure he will. radio stations are looking for broadcasters with the edge and the name. He got both.

I think he should consider comedy because they can say anything and get away with it. Never mind, there is Michael Richards...

He will get another job, if he wants it. I am just pissed at the whole jump on the "fire Imus" bandwagon that had been out there

I don't much care for Imus, but I do hope he lands a spot on satellite radio, and I hope he kicks ***.

The NFL could always use a new broadcasting voice.

He'll be working again within a year. Thing that gets me is that the people who wanted him canned couldn't see far enough in front of themselves to realize that if you fire him, he's now free to go to satellite radio and say whatever he pleases.

Howard Stern had no trouble finding another job and make millions more in doing so
