I've seen Loch Ness but not Nessie. What nation doesn't have some sort of myth or folktale?
If you think that all of Scotland is getting rich off the legend of the Loch Ness Monster, then you are sorely mistaken. It is a nice little community, no skyscrapers, no subways. The people in Scotland are very nice (and they have cool accents). Besides, would you rather push the legend of the Loch Ness Monster or that your countrymen came up with the delicacy known as haggis? :)
(haggis isn't really that bad, just don't think about what it's made of)

No, that is only an section in Scotland spoke of as Loch Ness, the tale began at the same time as someone sometime lower back many many years in the past though he said a monster in the water which began the completed Loch Ness Monster tale. There are images that practice what feels like a monster of a few what in spite of the indisputable fact that it’s no longer genuine.

I agree, especially since Loch Ness is a freshwater lake, and most large sea creatures live in salt water. Such a large monster would not be in freshwater. Also, it could easily be a type of squid, but most likely it doesn't exist at all.

I personally think it is a myth even though there have been some hard to explain pictures taken. But we will never know unless the body of one is found. Mythbusters is certainly not a reliable source for making that determination. Many reputable scientists aren't even sure. A couple TV characters are not more qualified, especially not those two.

Maybe it's like what happened in Boston Harbor. People claimed to see a monster similair to what the people in Scotland saw and it ended up being a mutated snake...

All those tea towels, all those cuddly toys...
Is it any wonder that Loch Morar tried to get in on the action?
That's a good dollar to chase, the gullible tourist dollar...

It wouldn't surprise me if it were real, but I believe it was a hoax. I can't speculate as to the reason the hoax was pulled, but it seems like it sure did generate tourism.
