I noticed that I always start with right. I tried the left and I just couldn't do it.

Yes, I always start with my left foot. I can start with my right foot, but them I feel off balance and not stable.

After pondering this question, I start both up and down with my right foot. I'm right-handed, too. I imagine that has something to do with it.

No I don't always start with the same foot whatever foot is in position is the foot that gets used. :)

Sure I do!!! lol.........doesn't it jus drive you totally nuts when you get half way up, thinking bout something, then stop and realise you started on the wrong foot and are like totally compelled to retrace your steps and start again on the b*loody right foot!! lol..............ya, I really am beyond help I think.........:0)

right for me too. Could it be that we're both right handed as well? Or is it the left side of the brain that allows us to use the right side?

I hadn't paid any attention. I wish I had time to think of stuff such as that. I seem to be in a rush all the time.
