Sri Lanka have broken the record of New Zeland as an unbeaten team in the present world cup. While it may have dented the confidence of New Zeland for the remaining matches, it is a morale booster for Sri Lanka. Full credit should go to their bowlers Chaminda Vaz and M. Muralitharan who broke the back of New Zeland batting and restricted them to a modest total. Their batssmen also batted sensibly to win the match comfortably. It was an excellent win for Sri Lanka.
