Yes! My husband used to get upset with me because I always had to know what was going on because I like to know in advance about everything. I like to look ahead and have everything already planned and organized.
My husband and I divorced by the way. Ha! :o)

The small things, laundry, essays, etc. I normally plan about a week ahead so I know I can get it in on time. Special events it depends what they are, my last birthday I didn't plan what I wanted to do until the day before. Holidays vary according to time off from work.

Well there is no straight answer to this question. For example, if you purchase life insurance then you inadvertently already planning for your death or accident. I have few friends that really pay attention to details. Occasionally they do annoy me but at the same time I realize that they have an exceptional talent for planning. Pair them with another set of friends that are really good at executing work and I got myself a really good event planner. The challenge is to get them to sit together. My short advice are
a. Do not reveal everything that you had planned. Just show them the big picture.
b. Do not tie your activities with time or at least do not show it.
c. Get people to participate in your planning without them knowing it.
d. Best if you could make it look like you did not plan it at all. This one take a little practice....
We can't change people but we can adapt.... If you can't walk through it, walk around it.

I have to plan any events out of the ordinary. I have a list of things to pack, a list of numbers we may need along the way etc. If I don't plan ahead and make a list, something gets forgotten.

Well buzzard...you are on the right track....yes people keep telling me that I'm way to correct and plan everything...and as a result..I quit planing things.
But people don't want to see you as a perfect one that's why they keep accusing you for that.
I wish you success...and by planning things you will have more than average people do.

If I plan too much I won't follow through. I live by the seat of my pants mostly. Some say the seat of my pants is a nice place to be!
