You must perform a "secure delete" of the hard drive contents and free space. A secure delete encrypts all the information on magnetic media, thats your hard drive. Then deletes the information making it unreadable. It does this several times to make to make the information unreadable.

Shredding your hard drive will not work. A secure delete is the on form of data removal endorsed by the US Department of Defense. I do work for a patent company we use Evidence Eraser. It cost about 25 dollars. There are only about six programs on the market that have past the US. department of disk sanitization. Its one of them. Here is a link for more info

You are a breath of fresh air!

Go to Start > Search and search All Files and Folders for: *.mp4 to locate all on your PC and delete. Repeat for other file extensions like ".mov" etc. and delete. Then, Defragment (right-click on the drive in My Computer) your hard disk.

Then, Remove all Peer to Peer software from your PC. Over time, new downloads will over-write the deleted files. Or, see the link below for a Free-Trial utility.

If you put other files on your drive, this will overwrite the "deleted" files so that they will no longer be able to ever be recovered in any way.
