I give them attention, bcuz i know that people who seek attention dont do it bcuz they think they are especially cool or should be given attention to (well most dont anyway lol)...and i know i may not know the reasons as to why this person is feeling lonely..but i know what lonely feels like and so i would just hang out with them for a while and hope that maybe it made their day at least a little better.

My feeling is, that people desperate for but a drop of attention are more than deserving of a drop. I'm happy to give them what they need.
We, as humans, should be in less of a hurry, less selfish, and more considerate of our fellow man.

I generally give it to them... but for the 'positive' forms of attention seeking, not the negative. Sometimes all folks need is an ear and a smile... can make a world of difference in someone's life... you never know...

Give them a drop of recognition. Sad but if that is all it takes to make them happy then give it to them. It may allow them to go away.

If it's a friend, I'll give them some attention, but if it's not.....ignoring usually works.

Give them some attention, it costs you nothing, and it might really make their day.

Give them a drop. But just one. Overfeeding their egos is dangerous.
