Hello,
My kitchen and toilet ceilings are uneven, looks kind of ugly so i'm thinking of re plastering it. I've seen those in tubes which uses a gun to squeeze it out(like silicon) and those paste type. What would be easy to work with ?
How do i go about doing it , like sanding,cleaning , plastering...etc.
Thanks for helping

You can also disguise the uneven ceilings by faux finishing them with latex paint. I did that in my family room because hubby tried to find the surround sound wires and made holes everywhere. When he patched them, they looked terrible. You can use a base coat of parchment yellow, rag on burnt umber for a stucco look. I used a burgandy red, rolled on burnt umber that I ragged off and then sponged on antique gold and the ceiling looks like aged leather. Painting techniques are a lot less work and clean up than replastering.

Drywall mudd is a lot cheaper and easier, my friend. Just rough up the spots to be resurfaced, and apply in layers, until yer happy. I'm doing a renovation at the moment and have the same problem. Mudd works awesome!

You can PVA it and then skim it with plaster or you can overboard it with plasterboard and then skim that. The stuff in tubes and buckets is not normally much use!
