One of the toppers in the blame- list for the dismal performance of the Indian cricketet team, espically in the world cup, has been brand endorsement. Many are of the opinion that the huge money involved is shifting the priority of the men in the blue. The cricket board has decided to put a cap on the number of endorsements by the players. So whats your opinion about this if the cricketers should advertise Products?????

It si undoubtely true that the endoring brands mean the focus might changed and the interest of the cricketers but on the whole it is not the only reason why the Indian team palyed palyed. There could be many many other reasons like lack of practise, lack of rest loss of influential players wrong tatics and wrong approach to training poor team spirts(fights in the team). It should not be just link to one specific reason
Furthermore generally in sports many sportsplayers endorse sports and other fashion and clothing brand but they still do well on a regular basislook at David Beckham he still delivers even @ 32years old an age conidered by many as past the prime
Though i do think that the focus of the Indian team players did changed somewhat. they seem to lose their interest with the money interest coming in.as well they had a poor coach as well

While BCCI have every right to decide the terms and conditions to be included in their contract with the players, it is upto the players to decide whether they should play for India accepting the terms and conditions set out by BCCI or refuse to accept the terms and conditions and carry on with the advertisement without playing for India.

If you look at one side, one will get the impression that since players are getting too much money from advertisement they do not give much importance to the game. On the other hand, if the players do not perform well,, they will not becomje popular and no advertisers will opt for the players not so popular for their advertisement.

I don't see the problem myself.
Every sport has top earners endorsing everything from shoes to cars. Why shouldn't cricketers too.

The huge money involved wont sway the cricketers prorities, I'm sure they are smart enough to remember why they're getting the advertising dollar in the first place.
I think the sport will remain their primary focus.

~~ Hope Summer this is a good question, you're getting into the swing ~~

No.Cricket is very competative game. Its not as simple as it seems.Every players has to be on their toes & with perfect harmony.Such precious level is require in each & every match. So total concentration level should be at their peak,& the fittest of that day ,that team will WIN.
Now this players are not best in modelling & have to learn lot in that modelling field.Diversion to new field & time will subdue their perfomance of main activity. They are in modelling not because they are good at that.We also know that many actors etc.try in politics and other field & ultimately failed
in both.Financial part can taken care by bcci & other investments by experts. They must devoted to this main core of cricket so thay can become Legend.
But we may be expecting lot?

No harm in that. It is their constitutional right to do so. There is nothing wrong if it is done in a healthy way without any red flag clause(They have to bat for x amount of time or show off thier bat with an advertisment in it while playing etc)

I see no longer something incorrect.that's a in common words organization deal which fetches the cricketers numerous funds. Why might want to they forgo their earnings on moral or moral issues?in reality such issues do no longer enter the transaction.that is undeniable economics. Have an excellent Day.

nope. they shouldn't endorse any product. did you know that pepsi, coke products which are endorsed by cricketers lead to cancer? i know its hard to believe but we are inviting problems to our health. i realised this when i had the problem of migrane. its a serious head ache problem. i think we should buy only necessary things which are endorsed by them like SIM cards. why do the cricketers bother when bollywood stars are there fully free.
