They are too fussy. I can understand if the spelling is so bad that you can hardly make out what the person is trying to say. I have been on here for a while and no one has ever been rude until a few days ago when I spelled pregnant with an "e" instead of an "a" .... I didn't know it was such a big deal.. They need a life....

I agree some people may fuss over spelling but there is a fine line over little mistakes than bad spelling and no pride in learning good communication and language. We are so blase about spelling that it has become a norm rather than an exception.
If you are an employer, who would rather take on? The one with good written and spoken English or those who don't care - especially in job where correspondence is paramount.

People make typos - me included. But with spell checks and some care, we all can take a bit of pride in our language. At the end of the day, people may say they don't care about spelling but the ones that spelled well will always be the one people remember or are impressed with the most.

People say they don't care, but how quickly they change that tune if it is their child that spell badly!!

There's nothing wrong with being fussy over spelling, it's basic English and it is sad how badly it is deteriorating. Plus it's pretty hard to make a spelling mistake when there is a spell check facility.

If a person is too lazy to correctly construct a question and use the spell checker, why should others take their time to answer?

A lot of us are anal retentive about things like that. However, there are some people who spell so bad, you can't make out what they are saying. This can be bad, especially if they are an asker. Hope this helps!!!

I think if you can't spell, then you are unable to use the language properly. Therefore, in my opinion, you are illiterate. I don't pull people up on it, though. Most people are pretty dumb, it's just a fact of life. What do I care?

Best not think much about them. Who cares how you spell, it's the fact you are hear to learn that is important. Those who mock do not deserve their wisdom.
